- AutoStore bins are stacked one on top of another in the grid. Wasted space for aisles and in racks is completely eliminated.
- The bins are highly durable and can be stacked up to a height of 5.7m for maximum storage efficiency. (Height may depend on conditions)
- Compared to a flat rack system, AutoStore uses a third of the space.
The layout can be designed to match the constraints of the building and pillars.
As items are stored and retrieved over time, the high frequency runners naturally become concentrated on the upper layers of the grid, gradually improving retrieval speed.
- If there is an issue with a robot, it can be easily removed from the grid to the service area, repaired and placed back in operation with absolutely no downtime of the system.
- If a robot is removed because of an issue, the other robots will operate as normal with no impact to the operation.

Robot (RED LINE)
- The controls system manages the battery charging so the system can run 24 hours a day.
- With a high efficiency motor, energy consumption is kept to a low of 100W.
Robot (BLACK LINE)
- With Black Line, the battery is swapped out with a fully charged one so there is no downtime for charging.
- Higher acceleration for even higher efficiency.
Bins
- Specialized totes
- 3 tote heights: 220mm, 330mm, 425mm
- Use of partitions in bins allows for multiple SKUs to be stored in a bin.
* 425mm tote can only be used with the Black Line robot.
Port
- Products are stored/retrieved and replenished at this workstation.
- Three types: Carousel Port, Conveyor Port, and Relay Port
