30th Anniversary of Strategic Partnership Award from International Air Transport Association (IATA)

We are pleased to announce that Toyo Kanetsu was the recipient of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) 30-Year Strategic Partnership Award.

1. International Air Transport Association(IATA:International Air Transport Association)
 IATA is the world's largest airline industry association, representing 290 airlines and airports in nearly 120 countries and accounts for 82% of the world's scheduled operations. It develops policy on key issues in diverse areas of the aviation business. The main objectives for 2021 included safety, financial measures to support management, restarting of operations following the Covid crisis, and finally environmental sustainability.

2. Overview of the IATA Strategic Partnership Program
 The program is a platform for solution providers on critical aviation issues to build and strengthen relationships with key industry players as strategic partners. Strategic partners participated in a variety of IATA activities and provide solutions to critical airline issues. In Japan, more than 10 companies including TKK are members.

3. TKK's relationship to the IATA Strategic Partnership Program 
 Since the program's inception in 1991, TKK has been involved in the program as a strategic partner. TKK has been awarded for our activities and participation in the program for 30 years, and is the first company in Japan to receive this award. Futhermore, TKK is one of 11 companies globally that have received this award with 30 years' partnership. TKK has contributed significantly to IATA by developing a BHS (Baggage Handling System) manual that reflects our experience and technical knowledge gained through our BHS installations both in Japan and overseas.Furthermore, the IATA partner newsletter recently published an article about a state-of-the-art facial recognition system delivered by TKK.

4. Policy Regarding Future Deployments of Airport BHS Systems
 We have an 80% share of BHS systems domestically, including Haneda Airport, Narita Airport and Chubu International Airport, in addition to an increasing presence in overseas markets such as Malaysia. Going forward TKK will continue to contribute to the economic development of Southeast Asia by utilizing our technological expertise needed to support growing demand for airports.
