As previously announced, we are pleased to share the details of the semifinals and finals of the Toyo Kanetsu Cup: 2st Kansai Women's Rising Stars Tournament (organized by the Japan Shogi Association), an event proudly sponsored by Toyo Kanetsu.
This tournament is a single elimination competition featuring 16 participants, including young female professional players (ranked 1-dan and below) from the Kansai region, as well as female trainee members.
The semifinals and finals will be held in Arida City, where our Wakayama Plant is located, at Tachibanaya, a long-established traditional Japanese inn with over 123 years of history.
Through our sponsorship of this tournament, we aim to support the development of the next generation of talent in the shogi world, while also contributing to the local community and promoting the advancement of Japanese culture.
