Announcement of Partnership Agreement with Modula S.P.A.

Toyo Kanetsu K.K. Solutions Division has signed a distributor agreement with Modula S.P.A., headquartered in Reggio Emilia, Romagna, Italy (CEO: Antonio Pagano, hereinafter referred to as "Modula"), and we are pleased to announce that we will begin providing Vertical Lift Modules (VLM) to our customers.

1. Background and Purpose
Toyo Kanetsu K.K., under the slogan of " ACTION FOR THE FUTURE," is working to develop and build logistics systems through Monozukuri that exceed customer expectations by finding and executing new and innovative technologies. Toward that effort, we announce a new business relationship with Modula, which develops, designs, manufactures, sells and maintains vertical/horiztonal, automated vertical lift modules (VLM).
This agreement will give TKK the ability to provide customers with a new vertical storage solution (VLM) to make effective use of vertical space in addition to our core offerings which include WMS, picking systems, sortation, storage and other labor-saving equipment.

About Vertical Lift Modules (VLM)
The VLM is ideal for fairly large or heavy items from a tray-type, vertical storage system where one tray can support up to a 1 ton load. The system can also support large items that do not fit in containers as well as a large variety of small, mixed items.
The dual-tray delivery system reduces operator wait time for better productivity.
With a maximum height of 16.1 m, the system allows for effective use of wasted vertical space, while handling of variety of shapes and sizes.
