We would like to express our deepest sympathies to those affected by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), their families, and related parties.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who are working day and night to prevent the further spread of the virus, particularly front-line medical personnel and health organizations.
At the outset of the Novel Coronavirus, we established the Coronavirus Task Force beginning February 14, 2020 for the purpose of ensuring the health and safety of employees and their families, but also to prevent further spread of the virus in the community. Some of the countermeasures adopted are as follows: Ceasing of all domestic and international business travel and meetings; implementation of remote work; reduction and staggering of work hours at the company, and other measures recommended by authorities. We are pleased to say that as of the time of this writing, no employees or their families have been infected. Furthermore, we take the State of Emergency very seriously, and continue to bolster our response and are implementing the following basic measures. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.
- In recognition of the importance and urgency of supporting supply chains and social infrastructure that provide daily necessities, especially under a state of emergency, we will strive to provide continued maintenance and support operations even in those areas subject to the State of Emergency Declaration issued by the government.
- We have directed that employees work remotely and for all intents and purposes, closed our head office and Chiba Technical Center. Only the bare minimum of staff will be at our offices, and therefore, we may not be able to respond if you visit our office without prior notice. Please contact the person in charge directly by email or telephone regarding meetings or other questions.
- Overall, we will refrain from having employees travel to, from or within (such as going to work, business visits, and travel) the areas indicated in the State of Emergency issued by the government.
Implementation Period: Same as the period of State of Emergency Declaration.
